We live in the Texas Hill Country.

Here in Spring Branch, we have thin soil.  That means after you get down about 2 inches, you are no longer dealing with dirt, you are gardening in rocky, limestone soil…most of the time, minus the soil.

On top of that, there is not much vegetation here, because the deer have eaten everything.

This blog will document our journey as we try to  bring this area back to life and create a wildlife habitat for all native species great and small.
